Throw Out Two Hands

This is a wonderful account of an idea and the trip that followed - travelling around Africa in a hot air balloon. It sounds idyllic and peaceful, but it is also fraught with danger. "We were 6,000 feet above a caustic lake, and nearly 10,000 feet above sea-level. The wind had virtually failed, and on all sides the huge puffy giants of thundercloud, the cumulo-nimbus of Africa..." the author tells us on the first page. 

A great read, funny and interesting and you have to admire the determination of the author and his travelling companions. Great stuff.
