by Mark Twain

This is an account of a pleasure cruise taken in the 1860s, from New York to Europe and beyond on a revamped steamer, the Quaker City. Twain and his fellow travellers cross the Atlantic and spend months visiting some of today's top tourist spots. Twain wrote regular articles for a US based newspaper about the trip and this book was later pulled together from that initial writing.

A great blend of travel and history all wrapped up with some humour.

Paperback in excellent condition, published 2019.
