The Great Gatsby

Originally published in 1926, this is the beautifully written story of self-made millionaire Jay Gatsby and his pursuit of his old love, set in the US in the 1920s. This is one of my all time favourite books - I have read it and re-read it over many years and still the prose is beautiful and the story achingly sad. If you haven't read it - do.
