This is a lovely account of entertainment and amusements on a sheep station in Canterbury in the 1860s. Following on from Lady Barker's first book, Station Life In New Zealand.  The writing is warm and humorous and interesting - she covers everything from fishing for eels to picnics, swaggers to tobogganing. 

Hardback with dust jacket, published 1953. In good condition for a book of this age, some fading on dj, some foxing on edge of pages. Top edge of dust jacket spine has been torn.
