In very good condition.
After falling off a chair and suffering a spinal injury, author Kerry Carman, spent much time recovering. After a long stay in hospital she returns home to "a very limited life". But it makes her take more time to look around "and when spring came I found I had been given the gift of time - time to stand and stare."
The result is this charming diary of a year in her New Zealand garden. It is both easy to read in journal form and filled with wonderful detail from the weather of the day to the birds that appear in the garden. All interwoven with interesting information on plants - from the history of tulips to the origins of the 'cowslip'. With beautiful illustrations in colour and black and white.
An utterly charming addition to the shelf for any gardener.
