by E Mary Gurney
A collection of short stories written by E Mary Gurney. All set in New Zealand and painting a picture of, mostly rural life and the horses, cattle and dogs that figure so prominently. Gurney died in 1938, at the age of 38, after being kicked by a horse. This collection of short stories was published by arrangement with her sister, Lynn Gurney, an artist.
This is a sweet little book of beautifully written stories. (14 in total). Hardback edition but it has lost its dust jacket, so is plain red cover as per image. Previous owner name on first page. But overall in very good condition.
