Jean Batten, a dentist's daughter from New Zealand, was a hugely famous aviator in the 1930s. Her flights ranked with those of Amy Johnson and Amelia Earhart. This is a fascinating look at a very determined and impressive woman who made her name in what was very much a man's world. Batten mysteriously disappeared in Majorca in 1982.
