This is a wonderful account of Hillary's mountain adventures and the Everest expedition. He was, he says, sixteen before he ever saw a mountain - and that was on a 10 day school ski-ing trip to Mt Ruapehu. An interesting and easy read with lots of old black and white photos. Great stuff.
Blue hardback, with no dust jacket, this edition published in 1955. Title on spine. Some foxing on pages and dedication sticker to previous owner on first page. But in good readable condition, no tears, no missing pages and photographs and maps included.
