This is the story of a young girl and her family rounded up in Amsterdam and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. It is concise and easy to read and leaves you thinking long after you turn the last page. The writer was Anne Frank's step sister and whilst this is mentioned on the cover - it really doesn't need the connection. This book stands on its own.
