I haven't come across many female doctors who wrote memoirs from the early 1900s. But Doris Gordon is an exception, born in 1890, she joined the medical school in Otago in 1911 and went on to practice medicine with a focus on midwifery. This is a wonderful account of her work and some of the cases she came across.
