This second novel by Indian-born, Canadian writer Rohinton Mistry, is set in India in the 1970s and 1980s and tells the story of four diverse characters, whilst also taking a look at Indian society of the time. First published in 1995 it was very well reviewed and was also shortlisted for the Booker prize.
